A night of celebration was held at Roscommon Golf Club on Saturday evening as its Ladies Senior Foursomes team and managers were honoured for their All-Ireland success. Last month, the team was crowned AIG Women’s Senior Foursomes champions in August at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club. The celebrations at Roscommon Golf Club included the unveiling of the 2023 Golf Ireland pendant and photograph which is now on display in the main clubhouse. The club noted that this is the fourth All Ireland pendant for the club, joining the achievements of the Men’s Pierce Purcell team in 1976, the Ladies Miele Fourball team in 2004, the Boy’s Fred Daly team in 2019. The panel were made up of Joan O’Gara, Ruth Lennon, Sinead Benedetti, Anne Quirke, Leah Lennon, Maeve Kelly, Paula Quinn, Rosemary O’Brien, Blaithin O’Brien and Paula Miley.
